A true treat, a treat indeed.

Friday, my buddy Shaina picked me up for an amazing day of a hoarder’s estate sale.  It was amazing.  This was only one of her houses.  This house was strictly for storage.  It was heaven.  Well heaven for me at least. Below is a picture of the back yard.  The house was also full….

She probably had 20 different full sets of wooden chairs.  Shaina helped me find these four jewels stacked in the back with all the other chairs.  Most people only have two or three dining chair sets at the most, but there was a plethora here.

I also picked up some random mod cushions from an old couch.  Aren’t they so cute?!? We don’t make fabric prints like we used to.  I think I’m just going to use them on the floor as floor cushions.  After finding plenty of great stuff, the problem was getting it all in the car. Shaina had ALL her stuff and I had more than I needed.

Here is one of the chairs. They are all ready sanded which makes it even better!  All I have to do is figure out how to upholstery these things. But for $12 each, I think I will figure it out.   A post to be coming soon, hopefully.

I also got some great trim.  A NEON lime green bed skirt for a whole dollar. Got some other odds and ends like these fabulous yellow and gray scalloped circle place mats.  Brand new, also for a whole dollar.

All in all, it made me the see the positive side of hoarding that tv just isn’t showing.

Okay, not really, but I did get some great stuff out of it.  So for me it was a positive hoarding experience.  But I do feel like hoarding is a slippery slope, because I almost couldn’t  stop buying all her crap.  She was definitely a hoarder that had intentions for all these great things.  I thought geez, this is how it all starts.  A few random items here and there and before you know it, you have one house full so you have to buy another one.  And on that note, I’m looking for a second house for Tim and I, something with more storage for all my estate sale finds.
